Local parents in Alloa and Stirling have responded with dismay to the announcement of the closure of New Struan School, Alloa. New Struan, a specialist residential and day school for children with autism, has been in existence for 50 years.

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank every Labour voter who put their faith in me. I am obviously disappointed in the result, but I’m incredibly proud of the issue-focused and community-focused campaign I ran. Proud too, to have beaten Reform and their divisive rhetoric.
Stirling is a wonderful place and I am so happy to call it home. It was a genuine privilege to speak to so many voters across the constituency and hear their concerns and aspirations. I am grateful to be going back to a job I love, which allows me to continue supporting communities across the council area.
